It’s easy to sit back, listening to all of the anti-choice rhetoric and proposed regulation and think, “That’s crazy! But that will never happen. This is Pennsylvania!”

On the first day that the house is back in Harrisburg, September 26th, one of the few bills on the agenda to be voted on is SB 732. This is really happening. It will likely pass the House. It will then move to the Senate. It will likely pass the Senate. It will go to the Governor’s desk. We have no reason to believe that he will veto it. This could all happen in the first weeks. By Thanksgiving, SB 732 could be law. That means that by about Easter, its extreme regulations will be in place. That means that by Easter, it is fully possible that there will be practically no access to safe and legal abortion care in Pennsylvania. This is really happening. This is scary.
But what can we do?
It is absolutely imperative that we join together as a strong and unified voice, declaring to Pennsylvania – and our Nation – that we will not stand for this attack on women. Abortion is a legal right. It has been for 40 years. That will not change on our watch. Call your state legislator. Call your state Senator. Call the Governor. Tell them that you have had enough of this. Let’s do everything we can in the precious little time we have to tell them to STOP.
This is really happening, but we have a chance to turn it all around. Don’t let that time be lost. Make a difference today.
